Benefits & Member Specials

EMG Live Fitness is an online gym platform that allows visitors with an account (which is free) to login and view workout videos (pay per view style). This online gym streams different types of exercise workouts from credentialed and often well-known celebrity instructors. The online Live gym was built up as an extension of EMG Gyms available in many larger cities.

EMG Live Fitness is an online gym platform that allows visitors with an account (which is free) to login and view workout videos.

Why It’s Right for You

EMG Live’s fitness routines are choreographed and led by some of the best in the fitness industry. Their workout videos range in length, but still give a good workout. A member can pay for access to each individual video, opting for a one-time view, or an unlimited access. This can be great for people who are busy and can’t get to the gym, or for people who do not live close to an EMG Gym.

Why It’s Not for You

This gym was created by the owner and CEO of EMG Gym for people to maintain their health and fitness levels, even when the opportunity to get to the gym was not an option.

There are a lot of classes you can choose from, and there are even more that are uploaded periodically, but there are no specialized or personalized workouts.

Results Expected

The results you can expect from working out using the EMG Gym Live system depend on the exercise programs you decide to pursue with it. They have Yoga, Jersey Cycle, V-Core, and Jeni-Fit for Barre, among many others, to choose from. However, despite the differentiation, these are classes that focus on maintenance and beginning to intermediate levels; with the emphasis on keeping in shape, results would not be seen so much as maintenance would be upheld.

EMG Live

Five Pros:
  1. As little as 10 minutes a day:

The workout programs on EMG Live include workouts from 10 minutes long to 60 minutes long.

  2. Accessibility: The membership benefits such as videos, along with the website, which can be accessed from any device, including mobile devices.
  3. Lots of Variety, You Can Choose:

There is a large selection of different genres of exercise, so you can pick and choose which ones you’d like to do. The exercises are also different lengths, so if you have limited free time, you can still get a good workout in.

  4. Credibility:

One of the biggest things about this online platform is how it is backed by the physical gym’s reputation. The classes are straight out of EMG Gym’s workout plan, and the instructors are well-known and hightly qualified.

  5. Pay Per Viewing:

The videos on their platform allow you to pick and choose which classes you want to take and keep, so you only have to pay for what you use.

Five Cons:
  1. A Certain Amount of Discipline is Required:

Membership requires discipline on the part of the member, just like every gym. The members will get their daily subscription email, but there is no tracker to make sure the member is keeping up with their programs. Once you order the videos, you still have to make use of them before their access expires, unless you purchase the unlimited access version.

  2. Injuries or Physical Decline can Hamper Progress:

If you have medical conditions, it will be hard to start on a level where you will be able to lose weight. Building up muscle and stamina when you have not worked out in a long time, or lead a sedentary lifestyle, it will be harder to get the programs started.

  3. A Lot of Variety but Not a Lot of Specialization:

EMG Live’s programs have a large list, and it can be hard to find a good starting place, or it might be tempting to jump around before any good workout results really start to show. The other problem you will run into on this site is that the programs are limited to beginner and intermediate level workouts. While there are some tougher exercises, you will need to go somewhere else to specialize in a particular field.

  4. Lack of Support and Socialization:

While the classes are offered are credible, it can be hard to feel as though you are a part of a community when you are at your home location and the rest of the people are at the gym. You may feel isolated and alone, which can be hard on some.

  5. Payment:

While EMG Gym’s prices are not bad, there is still the issue of payment. Those with the account still have to pay even if they do not like the class; there is no limit to how many you can buy access to, so your expenses might also add up easily.
