Zuzka herself is the driving force behind the site, taking her members on her weekly workouts, offered in real time, while also providing support through different genres of exercise. Cardio, yoga, strength training, and aerobics are all incorporated into her routines.

When you become a ZGYM member, you will pay $9.99 a month to have access to a video library, special training programs including HIIT, Beginner Yoga, Cardio workouts, and weight training. Members are also paying for three new workouts every week, and a special occasion workout program.  

Why It’s Right for You

Zuzka’s website offers a wide variety of at-home exercises, making it easy for those who have busy schedules to easily work out at home at any time. The exercise videos are twenty minutes long, so it is possible to do many of these exercises on the go, if you have access to a small-sized free space, such as an office. This workout is right for you if you also desire a constantly changing routine (if you find yourself consistently bored with your exercise schedule) and if you would benefit from being able to access ZGYM from any wifi location or wireless device.

Why It’s Not for You

If you are not sure whether or not this would be the way to go for your exercise, consider how well you do with accountability, sociality, and equipment needs. For accountability, having access to the ZGYM with wireless does not guarantee you will access it and use it. There is a certain level of self-discipline required to join and get a good return of investment. If you struggle with consistently going into the gym and getting your workout done, ZGYM might not be the right way to go for you.

If you go to the gym to meet friends, having a home gym option like ZGYM is not the best option for you. If you need weight machines, or like to exercise using machines like treadmills, elliptical machines, or weights.

Results Expected

Because of the varied nature of the exercises presented through ZGYM, one can expect after a dedicated time period to experience core strengthening and more muscular toning. Her exercises, while varied, are centered on aerobic approaches. Because of the muscular exertion, more muscle will build and fat will burn off. When the stretch-based exercises are followed, flexibility will also become more pronounced.

Nutrition

Zuzka’s website offers the average browser a chance to look at her nutrition guidelines and recommendations. She offers FM (Free Meal, or a meal which focuses on low-calorie, low-carb meals with lots of vegetables) and WEM (Workout Earned Meal, or a meal where carbs and protein are important post-workout nourishment) recipes on her webpage without requiring any membership.

Zuzka herself monitors the nutrition tab, so if you leave comments or ask questions on her page about nutrition, she responds back. Her nutrition, much like her workouts, are available to follow at an at-will basis, though she properly cautions her readers not to expect a change if they do not alter their diets.

    Zuzka doesn’t just provide exercise; she looks at related topics with just as much fervor as she does with the exercise. There are nutrition pages, beauty tips, and other health-related concerns she has on her webpage.

Five Cons:
  1. A Certain Amount of Discipline is Required:

    Zuzka’s ZGYM membership requires discipline on the part of the member, just like every gym. The members will get their daily subscription email, but there is no tracker to make sure the member is keeping up with their programs.

  2. No “Gym Buddies” Around:

    There are no group workouts online; this is a self-driven, individualistic endeavor.

  3. A Lot of Information:

    Zuzka’s gym offers a lot, and it can be overwhelming for the beginning exercise enthusiast. Much of the information requires a working knowledge or understanding of health benefits.

  4. No Machines:

    The workouts in here are for at-home sessions, and only minimal equipment (such as free weights) are required for some of the exercises. If you have had an injury, particularly a shoulder, knee, or back injury, using free weights can be harder on you and might trigger a relapse.

  5. No In-Person Personal Trainer:

    Having a personal relationship with a face-to-face personal trainer can really help push you harder, and help you go further. While Zuzka offers a lot of exercises and education, there is nothing like having a personal trainer show you how to do a move, tweak your stance, or know at the beginning you need to go easy on your knees.

    I have been working out with Zuzka Light for couple of years now. The workouts are usually very short – anything between 12-25 minutes so it is easy to fit the exercises into a busy schedule. I am a full time working mum so does not have time to go to gym but fortunately her workouts are enough for me to keep fit and keep my weight on the same number. I have originally managed to loose about 5 kgs with her doing just the exercises. Zuzka also gives an advice on nutrition which I have been following randomly but never really tried. Workouts are very easy to follow.

    + PROS: 1. You need only a few minutes a day 2. Videos are easy to follow 3. Help with Nutrition 4. Beginner as well as advanced modifications
    - CONS: The training advice is great but same for all so if you are looking for a personal trainer, you might need to look for another website.
