Benefits & Member Specials

Sleek Technique is an online hub for ballerinas to gather and workout. This site has a variety of online classes, both streaming and in video format, and they now offer DVDs as well.

They have three stages for membership; there is a free, pay-per-view class attendance option, and then a £30/month for unlimited recorded classes and one free live class a month, and then a £48/month package which has unlimited access to both streaming and live classes.

Why It’s Right for You

If you are a ballerina in training, or you are looking to get the ultimate female ballerina body, this is a good place to start.

Why It’s Not for You

If you need a gym for weights or machines, this program is not for you. You might also want to take classes where there are others with you, especially for some of the classes which have an added element of fun when you are with others, such as the kickboxing or karate. You might also be uncomfortable with this if you are a male, since the workouts focus on the female body.

This program is not for you if you need an in-person trainer, or one who doubles up as a spotter.

Results Expected

You can expect to see results in as little as 4 weeks with this programs, and the other results you are looking for will be determined on how well you keep up with your practicing schedule and class sessions. As a special, they offer a 10 day program which will help to get you jump-started on their program.

Nutrition

There is limited to no information available on nutrition on this website.

Five Pros:
  1. Accessibility:

The membership benefits such as videos and emailed newsletters, along with the website, which can be accessed from any device, including mobile devices.

  2. Focused Workout:

Any little girl who has ever dreamed of being a graceful ballerina can make it happen with these ladies and their program. With their combined 30+ years of experience, you can trust this program is focused on developing the dancer (and the dancer body) in you.

  3. Quality:

The videos on the platform are high quality and deliver on the promises for a good workout.

  4. Working Out from Home:

There is no gym required for this program. You can easily do a lot of the videos from home.

  5. Credibility:

All of the instructors are masters in their fields, and have the education and credentials behind them when it comes to working with their exercises. You can be sure to get a good workout and help with these ballerinas.

Five Cons:
  1. A Certain Amount of Discipline is Required:

This program requires discipline on the part of the member, just like every gym. The members will get their daily subscription email, but there is no tracker to make sure the member is keeping up with their programs.

  2. Injuries or Physical Decline can Hamper Progress:

If you have medical conditions, it will be hard to start on a level where you will be able to lose weight quickly. Building up muscle and stamina when you have not worked out in a long time, or lead a sedentary lifestyle, it will be harder to get the programs started.

  3. Monthly Membership Fee:

The requirement for the month can be expensive, especially if you are busy, travel a lot, or have another membership at a local gym.

  4. No Gym:

It can be hard to work out from home while paying a monthly membership fee. If you have a background in working out with machines or weights, you might be better off going to a local gym in order to help meet your preferences and needs. You might also find working out at home with the baby nearby to be challenging.

  5. 5. No In-Person Spotting:

If you want to work out in a way you might need a spotter, you might find this program is not going to work for you, especially if you are new to being a ballerina or dancing.
